We can not feel, and we can not see what is happening to us; while all around us, people are coming alive and creating new, healthy economic values, practices, and institutions. Good Economic news is stories about entrepreneurs who are transforming businesses from singularly profit-motivated, competitive and alienated enterprises which cultivate greed and fear to a new form of enterprise based on caring for all actors of the economy. Good Economic News is stories about people who are freeing themselves from the addiction of consumerism and finding well-being by coming alive to themselves, defining their own values and finding ways to live them in everyday economic lives. The role of Good Economic news is to transcribe the actions of the heroes and heroines who dare to care, to love and to experience what it means to talk the talk and to walk the walk. 	The Technological Incubator of Popular Cooperatives in Rio de Janeiro: Expertise and Support for the Solidarity Economy ITCP is an initiative run by the Engineering Post-Graduate and Research Coordination at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. The incubator was started in 1996 to build and grow popular cooperative enterprises that could combat the inequalities exacerbated by the prevailing neo-liberal model, and these enterprises specifically strive to reach out to the socially excluded and vulnerable. for full story, click here
	The Self-Employed Women's Association in Gujarat: Economic Empowerment as a Path to Total Empowerment SEWA, formed in 1971, aims to organize informal women workers in Gujurat, India. SEWA’s trade union members include home-based workers, hawkers and vendors, manual laborers and service providers, and producers. As of 2006, there were almost one million members throughout India, with almost half of those in Gujarat state. for full story, click here
